He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Musil and Augusta Musil (Sedivy); and his wife Bernice Edna Sophia Musil (Carlson). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Evan, Mary Ann Musil and Daniel Philip. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the St. John Lutheran Church Library.
