We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2023 we had to say goodbye to John William Harris of Ely, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Denny; and his parents, Lyle Harris and Gladys Harris. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Heather (Joshua Keliiheleua), Laura (Dennis Waggener), Anna (Drew Martel) and Ellen (Brian Mittenburg); his sister Joyce Farley; and his grandchildren, Harrison, Zoey, Ezra, Abigail, Grant, Josee, Lainee, Boone, Eva, Mary, Madeline, River, Ellis, William and Heidi.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be performed in his memory- a tribute to a life defined by love, faith and unyielding strength.
