She was predeceased by: her parents, John Watson and Elsie Watson (Nelson); her husband Richard "Dick" Hopkins; her son Robert "Bob" Ness; her granddaughter Jennifer Ness; and her siblings, Ron Watson and Barbara Ward.
She is survived by: her son John Ness (Debi) of Ely, IA; her grandchildren, Jamie Witham (Shannon) of Grinnell, IA, Todd Ness (Becky) of Marion, IA and Tara Ness (Jay) of Belle Plaine, IA; her sister Joyce "Joy" Kellogg (Richard); and her stepdaughter Jenny Netolicky of Solon, IA. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
