He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Thompson and Marj Thompson (Helland). He is survived by: his sister Peg Thompson of Jewell, IA; his nephew Mark Hoefer (Dee) of Jewell, IA; and his niece Mary Ann Hodge (Mike) of Lenoir, NC. He is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews.
