With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deanna Schminkey of Ely, Iowa, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deanna Schminkey to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her son Mark; her brothers, Robert and Bud Fite; and her parents, Fredrick Fite and Hazel Fite (Brimmer).

She is survived by : her husband Robert Schminkey of Ely, Iowa; her sons, John (Linda Gilgenback) of McGregor, Minnesota, Joe (Mary) of Maybell, Colorado, David (Dawn) of Neosho, Missouri, Robert (Brandi) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and James (Jill Crawford) of Keystone, Iowa; and her sister Judith Holets (Doug) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, many loving extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Central Assembly of God Church: 3030 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52405.
