She was predeceased by: her son Mark; her brothers, Robert and Bud Fite; and her parents, Fredrick Fite and Hazel Fite (Brimmer).
She is survived by: her husband Robert Schminkey of Ely, Iowa; her sons, John (Linda Gilgenback) of McGregor, Minnesota, Joe (Mary) of Maybell, Colorado, David (Dawn) of Neosho, Missouri, Robert (Brandi) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and James (Jill Crawford) of Keystone, Iowa; and her sister Judith Holets (Doug) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, many loving extended family members and friends.
