He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Johann and Malinda Johann (Joachim); his daughter Isabel Johann (Bueckman); his brothers, Norbert Johann and Paul Johann; and his siblings-in-law, Mabel Reis, Vera Bueckman, Sam Reis, Clarence Bueckman and Eldon Groth.
He is survived by: his sister Norma Groth (Johann); his sister-in-law Lucille Johann; his children, Shirley (Johann), Paul Jacobs, Alan Johann, Karen (Johann) and Scott Maupin; his grandchildren, Kristin (Jacobs), Adam Ferrell, Jason Phelps (Johann), Stacie Phelps (Jermenc) and Juliana Maupin; his great grandchildren, Emma, Dylan Ferrell, Makenzie, Jackson, Kennadi, Katherine Phelps, Carson, MaKenna and Maelie Jermenc; and his close friend Dee Felder of Alta Vista. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
The family requests no flowers but donations may be made to Colonial Manor in Elma, Iowa or St. Croix Hospice.
