She is survived by: her father Robert Brood (Bob) of Swaledale, IA; her husband Tom Platte of Elma, IA; her daughters, Andrea Palmersheim (Brian) of Iowa City, IA and Kayla Sebastian (Andy) of Cresco, IA; her grandchildren, Addison, Anna Klein, Aria and Devin Sebastian; and her sisters, Jean Ditsworth of Swaledale, IA, Patty Brood of Mason City, IA and Mary Kaye Kirschbaum (Mike) of Rockwell, IA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
