It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward W. Chihak of Elma, Iowa, who passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chihak and Lillian Chihak (Stefan); his sister Marcy Ferrie (Art); his brothers-in-law, Clarence Regan and Linus Lentz; and his nephews, Tim Ferrie, Rick Ferrie, David Lentz and Kenny Chihak.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Schwantz of Elma; his daughter Judy Ungs (Kevin Acker) of Elma, IA; his grandchildren, Travis Ungs (Kelsey), Brittany Leclerc (John) and Jessica Ungs; his great grandchildren, Mallory, Eloise, Noah and Lauren; his siblings, Evelyn Regan of Cedar Rapids, IA, Elsie Lentz of Elma, IA, Virginia Koch (Dan) of Manchester, IA, Jane Mahoney of Waukon, IA, Betty McGrane (Dan) of Riceville, IA, Bill Chihak (Cathy) of Elma and Raymond Chihak (Deb) of Destin, FL; and his friends, Sharon, Jimmy and Maggie.
