With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Olson (Ellsworth, Iowa), born in Churdan, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Dagit and Alma Dagit (Arnold); her husband Elmer Olson; and her siblings, William Dagit, Edith Dagit Nerland, Leona Dagit Norton, Avis Dagit Shorer, Alice Dagit Keane, Arnold Dagit, Dorian Dagit, Lowell Dagit, Elsie Dagit Miller and Mary Dagit Lapp.
She is survived by: her daughter Jacqueline Jean; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bries (Dan), Sarah Hatcher, Matthew Hatcher (Lindsay), Molly Olson Selva (Ben) and Natalie Olson; her great grandchildren, Caleb Cummer, Analyce Cummer, Gabriel Cummer, Travis Bries, Tanner Bries, Elliana Bries, Samuel Bries, Kacie Hatcher, Lena Hatcher, Emma Hatcher, Carly Selva and Nora Selva; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Dagit and Colleen Dagit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1629 Dewitt St, Ellsworth, IA 50075). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
