With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Johnston of Elkhart, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada June McClellan (McClellan) and Jethrow "Jeff" W. Johnston; and his stepbrother Jeff Johnston of Arizona. He is survived by: his wife Charolette Johnston; his stepchildren, Raymond Ratliff (Lynda), Ronnie Ratliff (Cindy) and Rene Maakestad (Ryan); his grandchildren, Christin Richmond (Billy), Ryan Ratliff, Victoria Godfroy (Joe), Nolan Ratliff and Kaitlyn Tam; and his great grandchildren, Izzy Richmond and Evan Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Rick.
