It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Parmenter of Elkhart, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Paul Henry Parmenter; and his nephew George Parmenter. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Parmenter (Sorenson); his children, Eric Parmenter and Michelle Parmenter; and his brothers, Dennis Parmenter, John Henry Parmenter and Roy Parmenter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, he wasn't able to achieve those goals, but would still run twice a day and made great time clocking 8-minute miles.
