She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Larson and Anna Marie "Mary" Larson (Johnson); her husband Herbert Berns; her granddaughters, Brenda Berns Rodenberg and Tara Pearson Swift; and her siblings, Norma Harrington, Ruby Rivers, Carroll Larson, Mervin Larson and Mildred Christianson.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Berns (Carol) of St. Olaf and Sharon Pearson (Dan); her grandchildren, Greg Berns (Heather), Julie Frieden (Bob), Brian Berns (Hillary) and Brett Pearson (Andrea); and her brother Donald Larson (Rita). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
