He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip and Emma Heick (Schmidt). He is survived by: his wife Jean Heick; and his children, Joanne Severson (Gerald) of Elkader, IA, John Heick of Elkader, IA, Jay Heick (Anna) of Lindenhurst, IL, James Heick (Debra) of Calmar, IA and Justin Heick (Debra "Vonnie") of Kingsville, MO.
