He is survived by: his sons, Matthew John of Elkader, IA and Michael Duwain (Andrea) of Maryville; his wife Dawn; his grandchildren, Paige Cunningham (Alex Soto), Kirsten Crider (Blake), Jacob Cunningham, Kaylee Benson (Matt), Lukas Peterson (Faith), Aimee Cunningham (Emmet Elledge), Trevin, Alyssa and Alex Cunningham; his great grandchildren, Ivy Elledge and Lucia Soto; his cousin MeriAnn Klocke (Kim); his sister-in-law Debra Huck (Bob, family: Detra Warren, Darla Rau); and also Whitlock.
