He is survived by: his wife Vernelda; his children, Lynn Thompson (Richard) of Oelwein and David Miehe (Darcy) of Elkader; his grandchildren, Reece Thompson, Jesse Thompson (Marissa), Trisha Finley (Tim) and Richard Miehe (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Jillian Finley, Declan Finley, Lucy, Pearl, Sage Miehe and Sawyer Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Miehe and Ed Fehlhafer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
