With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sue Mardesen (Elk Horn, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sue left this world on October 6, 2024 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Jensen and Roma Jensen (Prior); her parents-in-law, Vernon and Grace Mardesen; her husband Darrell Mardesen; her son-in-law Dan Hartvigsen; her brothers, Merlin Jensen, Bruce Jensen and John Jensen; and her brother-in-law Richard Mardesen (Sara).

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Boyd (Tom) of Omaha, Nebraska, Gene Mardesen (Susan) of Elk Horn, Clara Wambold of Omaha, Nebraska and Carol Hartvigsen (Dan Schnepel) of Kimballton; her granddaughter Megan Kapp (Matt) of Fort Collins, Colorado; her children, Kyle Wambold (Ashtin) of Council Bluffs, Nickolas Mardesen (Sabrina) of Dunlap and Paige Wambold of Council Bluffs; her great grandchildren, Carson, Graham, Korbin, Harvey, William, Mylie Jo and Cooper; her sisters, Colleen Schnepel (Gary) of Omaha and Arlene Reed (Harold) of Carlisle; and her sisters-in-law, Sharon Nelson (Dick) of Omaha, Jackie Jensen of Avoca and Linda Jensen of Council Bluffs. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
