He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Soe and Laura Soe (Neilsen); his wife Rosemary; and his sister Shirley Albertsen. He is survived by: his children, Joni Butts (Kevin) of Minden, IA, Jeff Soe (Kim) of Red Oak, IA and Troy Soe (Marcia) of Omaha, NE; his grandson Nick Soe (Kelsi) of Winterset, IA; his children, Rachel Kocak (Kyle) of Lincoln, NE, Tara Stanek (Tim) of Omaha, NE, Matt Soe (Mary Kate) of Red Oak, IA and Brandon Soe (Kristin) of Omaha, NE; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Kocak, Hudson, Olivia Stanek and Drew Soe; and his sister Marsha Brown (John) of Malvern, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
