He was predeceased by: his father Albert Butikofer, Sr. of Elgin; his son Michael; and his siblings, Anna, Harry, Rueben, Elizabeth Moore, Bert, Ruth Wiegand and Albert.
He is survived by: his wife Norma of Gridley, IL; his daughters, Julie Krugger (Dennis) of El Paso, IL and Joni Loftsgard (Roger) of Clermont, IA; his stepsons, Mark (Kaylene) of Gridley and John (Jill) of Gridley; his daughter-in-law Donna Butikofer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Loftsgard, Joey Loftsgard (Crystal), Christopher Krugger (Emily), Benjamin Krugger (Sunita), Marci Oncken, Katrina Opperman (Doug), Jacqui Butikofer, Kristin Upton, Kayla Samples (Justin), Kelley Butikofer, Whitney Waldschmidt, Nicole Gosling (Matthew), Sydney Butikofer and Douglas Schupbach (Tami); and his siblings, Paul of Elgin, IA and Shirley Nester of Lester, IA.. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
