It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert R. Nelson (Elgin, Iowa), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2010, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nelson and Edith Nelson (Tansley). He is survived by: his wife Clarice "Pat"; his children, William Lawrence Nelson (Magda) of Geneva, IL, David Aaron Nelson (Kris) of Hinsdale, IL and Edie Marie Gogny (Rob) of Marengo, IL; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Ashley, Jack, Alexandra, Jessica, Betsy, Julianna, Kristina, Victoria, Tia, Bethany, Sophia and Annabella; and his siblings, Peter Jr. (Lois), Lawrence Nelson Jr. and Ruth Walsh (Tom).
An open house party to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Thursday, June 10 between 5:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. at Hooper's Sports Bar, Elgin . In lieu of flowers, plezse make donations to Provena St. Joseph Cardiac Care Unit,.
