He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lerch and Viola Lerch (Martin); his uncles, Giles, Jorris and Lyle Martin; and his father-in-law Sam Hofer.
He is survived by: his friend Ron Guyer; his former spouse Jean Grady; his wife Lorretta Hofer; his children, Chad Lerch (Anita), Jill Aylsworth, Jenny Stolka (Brian), Christa Glaser (Brad), Cody Lerch (Kirstin) and Joelle Journot (Brice); his grandchildren, Garrett Franklin, Ben Lerch, Mariah Ginther (Kyle), Mikayla Corkery (Lee), Grant, Drew Stolka, Tucker, Zaylee, Ada Glaser, Avery, Loxley, Declan, Tierney, Sullivan Lerch, Caedrin, Olivia, Annabelle and Ethan Journot; his great grandchildren, Maevyn Corkery, Kian Franzen and Ginther; his siblings, MaryAnn Amdahl, Kenny Lerch (Peg) and Terry Lerch (Sue); his aunt Maureen Cable; his mother-in-law Betty Hofer; his brother-in-law LeRoy; and his close friends, Don and Heidi Butikofer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
