He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whisler and Genevieve Hope Whisler (Orcutt); and his grandson Timothy Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Johansen of LeClaire; his children, Jessica Whisler, Evangeline Geist (Matt), Carmen Siegel (Tom) and James H. Frerichs Jr.; and his siblings, Deb Schutte, Gail Matteson, Gwen DeWispelaere, William Whisler and Blaine Whisler.
