He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bader and Patricia Bader (Alexander); his sister-in-law Lori Nern; and his nephew Matthew Beetz. He is survived by: his children, Erin Ewoldt (Randy) of Savoy, Laura Connell (Paul) of Bloomington and Adam Bader (Steph) of Ankeny, Iowa.; his wife Julie A. Drennan; his grandchildren, Isaac, Luke, Josephine, Penelope, Claire and Henry; his siblings, Margaret Beetz, Barb Schmitt (Steve) and Jim; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Drennan of Danville, Gerald Drennan (Nancy) of Danville, Troy Drennan (Jana) of Danville, Kristi Wagle (Jim) of Danville and Jim Nern (Sandy) of Somonauk, Illinois. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the River Bend Food Bank, the ALS Association Iowa Chapter or to the North Lakeland Discovery Center, Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin.
