It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marianne Basala of Eldridge, Iowa, born in Viola, Illinois, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ken Frye and Bertha Frye (Brasmer); her husband Marlyn "Doc" Basala; her son Michael David; her daughter-in-law Vicky Basala; and her brother Deane Frye.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Basala of Davenport, IA, Rob Basala (Diane), Rian Basala (Denise) of Viola, IL and Rochelle Williams (Bruce) of Eldridge, IA; and her brothers, Dennis Frye (Jeanie) of Milan, IL and Tim Frye (Jeanne) of Eldridge, IA.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wellspire-Fieldstone of DeWitt, IA, or the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
