He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hoyt and Elaine Smith (Green); and his brother Ricky Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Williams; his children, Patches Fessel of Davenport, Jeremy Smith (David Guerrieri) and Steve (Leslie Smith); and his stepchildren, Mike Atkinson of Davenport, Melissa and Les Eichmeier of Eldridge. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and three great-grand-children.
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
