He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Ardis Nelson (Patrick); his wife Beulah Stowe; and his siblings, Marilyn Purvis and Kenneth Nelson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gayle Staples (Mike) of Eldridge, IA and Nancy Raaf (Rich) of St Louis. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
