It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn D. Barber of Eldridge, Iowa, born in Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on May 9, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fischer and Emma Fischer (Heneke); her husband Clifford Barber; and her son Gary. She is survived by: her son Alan of Sterling Heights; her grandchildren, Bryan Barber (Tammie) of New Bern and Michelle Ruegsegger of Capac, Michigan; her great grandchildren, Grace, Gavin Ruegsegger and Bryan Ayden Barber; her brother Ellis; and her sisters-in-law, Myrtle Barber of Eldridge and Virginia Soutar of Prescott Valley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, the First Congregational United Church of Christ in DeWitt, or Grandhaven Activities.
