It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald D. Ried of Eldridge, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Jean Lynde; his parents, Carl Ried and Flossie Ried; and his siblings, Robert Ried, Ellen Ried, John Ried and Paul Ried.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Ried (Ginnie) of Newell, David Ried of Winterset, Dawnetta Van Ee (Marvin) of Eldridge, Scott Ried (Ronda) of St Francis and Dwight Ried (Deb) of Newell; and his grandchildren, Ben Ried (Misty), Greg Rachel Schaffner (Mike), Jake Ried (Jennifer), Matt Elisabeth Glas (Jeff), Danielle Ried, Jesse Ried, Josh Ried, Amanda Ried, Donavin Marcie Bradley (Steve), Valerie Van Ee, Aaron Ried, Hannah Ried, Noah Ried, Levi Ried, Rebecca Ried, Sam Ried (Hannah) and Renee Ried. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Ethnos 360, a Christian mission organization to be used in conjunction with Don's grandson's, Greg (Kadie) Ried's ministry of Bible translation for unreached people groups.
