With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Thompson (Eldora, Iowa), born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on November 29, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Peterson and Lenore Peterson (Skoglund); her former wife Gwen Reed; her husband Paul Thompson of Eldora, IA; her daughters, Allison Bonnett (Mike) of Johnston, IA and Susan Schafer (Dave) of Altoona, IA.; her grandchildren, Taylor, Katelyn Bonnett, Jordan, Samantha, Emma and Schafer; and her siblings, Sue Swanson (John) of Paton, IA, Mark Peterson (Maureen) of Hoschton, GA, Craig Peterson (Barb) of Dayton, IA and Marvin Peterson. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family who will be donating the money among several charities at a later date.
