James Barnes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2021, at the age of 85, James Barnes of Eldora, Iowa, born in Zearing, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Barnes to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Barnes and Polly Choate Barnes; and his wife Emma Catherine "Kitty" Barnes. He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Thompson (Rob) of New Providence and Beth Smith of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Megan Thompson-Hansen (Adam) of Des Moines, IA, Gabe Smith (Maddy) of Louisville, KY and Olivia Smith of Cedar Rapids, IA; his siblings, Zora Teater of New Providence and Terry Barnes (Liz) of State Center, IA; his niece Shellie Murphy; and his nephews, Mike Murphy of Eldora, IA and Nick Barnes (Jackie) of State Center, IA..

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, facemasks will be required prior to entering the facility and to keep everyone safe there will not be any luncheon following the service.
