She was predeceased by: her parents, Chauncey Wallace and Helen Wallace (Lorraine); her daughter Christina Cruz; her son-in-law Emilio Cruz; and her grandson Joshua Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer (Jeff Chamberlin); her husband Robert Schmidt Sr.; her children, Buffy Smith (Demetrius Hinton) and John Smith (Kellie); her grandchildren, Mikayla Wilson (Vaughn), Taylor Cruz, Parker Pagel, Drake Pagel, Drew Pagel, Joslyn Chamberlin, Camryn Butler, Pieper Smith and Grayson Smith; her great grandchildren, Naomi Kapayou and Logan Wilson; and her siblings, Daniel Taft (Lori), John Taft, Chan and Ben Taft (Melissa). She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
