He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Durflinger and Mary Hunter Durflinger. He is survived by: his wife Linda Major; his daughters, Cindy Elder (Jim) of Eldon, IA, Suzanne Streeby (Steve) of Eldon, IA and Gena Becker (Dave) of Humbolt, IA; his grandchildren, Amber Elder, Samantha Manusuthakis, Cody Streeby, Kaitlyn Streeby and Matthew Streeby; his great grandchildren, Emma, Zed, Easton, Bryce and Ryker; and his siblings, Terry Durflinger (Patti), Stephen Durflinger (Janice) and Tom Durflinger (Denise). He is also survived by his family and the many friends.
