It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert Allan Gettle of Elberon, Iowa, born in Zealandia, Saskatchewan, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gettle and Ina Gettle (Abbe). He is survived by: his children, Linda Schmidt of Grand Forks, ND, Douglas Gettle (Kristi) of Dulut, Jeanne Larson (Jon) of Westby, WI, Richard Gettle (Linda) of Elberon, IA and Randy Gettle of North Mankato, MN; and his sister-in-law Shirley Cepelak of Union, IA.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
