He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mikoda and Hilda Mikoda (Hennings); his wife Darlene Cherveny; his son Denny; his grandson Todd; and his brother Dallas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kerry Kucera (Mark) of Toledo and Nancy Ward (Bill) of Cedar Rapids; his grandson J. D. Kucera (Kristen) of Dike; his granddaughter-in-law Molly Kucera of Iowa City; and his great grandchildren, Reed, Paige Kucera, Emily and Ella Kucera.
