He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mescher and Mathilda Mescher (Koopmann); and his siblings, Marie Kramer (Clarence Barney), Harry Mescher (Marge), C. J. Mescher (Alvie), Bill Mescher (Germaine), Viola Mescher, Louie Mescher (Kay), Alice Althoff (Syl), Rosemary Nelson (LaVerne), David Mescher (Janet) and Gilbert Mescher (Bernice).
He is survived by: his wife LuAnn Mescher; his children, Randy Mescher (Vickie) of Edgewood, Pat Mescher (Marsha) of Dundee, Kathy Hansel of Edgewood and Jeff Mescher (Carmen) of Independence; his grandchildren, Timothy, Mark, Jessica, Justin, Katie, Beth, Matt and Allie; and his siblings, Armella Phillips of Fly Creek, Alfred "Fritz" Mescher (Jeanette) and Dick Mescher (Jean) of Dyersville. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
