It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen Funke of Edgewood, Iowa, born in Cascade, Iowa, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McMullen and Carmelita McMullen (Hoffman); her husband James Funke; her son Larry Funke; and her siblings, Marjean Gansen, Jane Slauson, Mary Drexler, Pat Ott, Tom McMullen and Bob McMullen.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Funke (Elaine) of Edgewood, Jody Mahnke (Dan) of Fairfax, David Funke (Rene) of Swisher and Michael Funke (Stephanie) of Manchester; her grandchildren, J. C. Funke (Leah), Michelle Brady (Cain), Matt Funke, Danielle Mahnke, Abbey Mahnke, Ryan Funke (Melissa), Morgan Less (Zach) and Jordan Funke; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce McMullen of Cascade, Charlotte McMullen of Dubuque, Elaine Hoffmann of Guttenberg and Dan Ott of Madison, Wisconsin. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID-19, masks are requested at the visitation and the funeral.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial fund has been established.
