He is survived by: his wife Alma Forst; his children, Burke Bockenstedt of Edgewood, Adam (Jill), Abel Bockenstedt (Sarah) of Manchester and Amber Simmons (Marc) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Taylor, Tessa, Thea, Ava, Reid, Miles Bockenstedt, Jack and Mia Simmons; and his siblings, George Bockenstedt (Barb) of Center Point, Janice Bries (Virgil) of Luxemburg, Patsy Goedken (LaVerne) of Holy Cross, LouAnn Weber (Rich) of Cedar Rapids and Nancy Henkenius (Neil) of Manchester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
