He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Hyde and Gertrude Hyde (Hansel); his wife Mavis Hyde; his half-siblings, Betty Friedlein (Charles) and Donald Hyde; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Frieden, Loren Frieden, Raymond Frieden and Eileen Schori.
He is survived by: his son Mark Hyde (Linda) of Dubuque; his stepgranddaughters, Dana Eaton of Dubuque and Allison Smith (Matthew Davidson); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Riley James and Maya Rose; and his sisters-in-law, Ladena Mendenhall of Monet, LeAnna Hanson (Harold) of Elgin, Phyllis Frieden of Postville and Sharnel Frieden of Elgin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
