He is survived by: his former wife Carol Grace; his sons, Dominick "Don" Derringer of Knoxville, Paul Derringer of Oskaloosa and Terry Derringer of Knoxville; his sister Margaret Thomas of Des Moines; and his sister-in-law Elaine Derringer of Pella.
