He is survived by: his parents, George Sperfslage and Mary Sperfslage (Ploesl); his spouse Faye L. Kauffman; his grandchildren, Cari Redondo (Ramon), Nicole Munson (Joe), Steven Sperfslage (Staci) and Kristin Sperfslage; his great grandchildren, Ray Redondo, Aubrey Munson, Nathan Munson, Skyla Sperfslage, Troy Eickstaedt (Tracey), Alicia Kimball (Shawn) and Megan Osborne (Chris); his brother Herbert Sperfslage (Theresia); his child Steven; his siblings, Robert Sperfslage (Helen) and Lucille Berns; his parents-in-law, Lowell Kauffman (Madonna), Marjorie McDowell (Ray), Annola Keegan (Al), Cyril Kauffman, Warren Kauffman (Fonda), Clark Kauffman (Dolly), George Kauffman and June Auman; his daughter-in-law Dianne Sperfslage; and also, Philip Sperfslage, Kaye Wall (Ted), Mark Sperfslage (Joellen), Paul Sperfslage (Ann), Haley Eickstaedt, Dominique Eickstaedt, Hadley Osborne, Avalo Berns, Russell Kauffman (Betty), Mary Kauffman and Bob Auman.
Preceding Jim in death was his wife, Faye (December 28, 2017); children, Steven, and a child in infancy; siblings and spouses, Robert (Helen) Sperfslage, and Lucille Berns; in-laws and spouses, Lowell (Madonna) Kauffman, Marjorie (Ray) McDowell, Annola (Al) Keegan, Cyril Kauffman, Warren (Fonda) Kauffman, Clark (Dolly) Kauffman, George Kauffman, and June Auman; and daughter-in-law, Dianne Sperfslage; In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Legion Post #436, RMC Home Care and Hospice, the Good Neighbor Home, or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Earlville.
