She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Grigg and Maude Grigg (Vesey); her husband Ernest; her siblings, Nettie Fredrickson, Cornelia Grigg, Ethel Talmadge, Millie Maxwell, Annie Rose and James Grigg; her daughter Tracy Salow; her daughter-in-law Mae Salow; and her stepson Billy Joe.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Vargus of Olympia, Kevin Salow of Dumont, Kelly Salow of Delhi, Dean Salow (Annette) of Earlville, Tony Salow (Jane) of Earlville and Kim Smith (Kevin) of Earlville; her stepchildren, Ernest Jr. "Chuck" McElmeel (Cary), Jerry McElmeel, Joyce Hughes (Don) and Pam Wink (Mike); and her sisters, Betty Salow, Mona Salow and Katherine Grigg (Ed Bildstein). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
