He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Salow and Nellie Salow (Hunt); his children, Tracy Salow and Bruce Sly; his children-in-law, Mae Salow and Randy Fox; his siblings, Marion Young (Robert), Bill Salow (Audrey), Walt Salow (Amber), Don Salow, Loren Salow (Irene), Ray Salow Jr., Harold Salow (Mona), Dave Salow (Rosie) and Gary Salow; and his parents-in-law, Eileen Schrunk (Leo), Bernie Sabin (Juanita) and John (Barb).
He is survived by: his former wife Iris Grigg; his wife Phyllis Salow; his children, Cindy Vargus of Blade Lake, Kevin J. Salow of Dumont, Kelly Salow of Delhi, Dean Salow (Annette) of Earlville, Tony Salow (Jane) of Earlville, Kim Smith (Kevin) of Earlville, Becky Friedmann (Mike) of Dyersville and Tab Sly (Jan) of Oelwein, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Lori Sly of Alexandria, Iowa; his brother Dick Salow (Pat) of Manchester; and his sisters-in-law, Irene Salow of Manchester, Betty Salow of Manchester and Kay Kruger of Altamonte Springs, Florida.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren.
