He was predeceased by: his son Dennis; his parent Clara Holtz (Thillen); and also, Frances Holtz (Wilma), Edward Holtz (Leta), Mathias Ronnebaum (Alberta), Harold Wulfekuhle, Joseph Demeter (Theresa), Jean Hampton, Eldon Leslein (Virginia), Richard Hach (Margaret), Bill Gibbs (Theresa), Al Boffeli, Earl Gibbs (Josephine) and Art Raithel.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Kathy Duff of Manchester, Barbara Glass (John) of Earlville, Kevin Holtz (Colleen Kurt), David Holtz (Tami) of Cedar Rapids, Gary Holtz (Carol) of Cedar Rapids and Richard Holtz (Dawn) of Urbana; his grandchildren, Aaron Glass (Taylor), Nikki Carpenter (Shane), Laura Halweg, Heather Weber, Jenna Garnatz (Sam), Amy Holtz, Emily Holtz, Isaac Holtz, Chris Holtz (Courtnie), Alex Holtz, Logan Holtz and Claire Holtz; his sister Marie Wulfekuhle; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Leslein, Lorraine Boffeli and Carol Raithel.
