It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Blackford of Earlham, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leota Cameron and John Dale Holmes; and her husband Robert Blackford. She is survived by: her daughters, Shelley Bunnell and Jennifer Clover (Jeff); her grandchildren, Joe Sprunger (Tabi), Kaiti Culp (Jeff), Jenni Randleman (Jack), Kim Patterson and Chance Clover; and her great grandchildren, Clarabelle, Delainie, Dean, Logan, Hailee, Colton and Kendra.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Johnson Family Funeral Home - Earlham (140 NW 2nd St, Earlham, IA 50072).
Memorial contributions may be made in Rita's name to AHeinz 57 Pet Rescue in DeSoto.
