She was predeceased by: her parent Elfreida Algreen (Jensen); her husband Robert "Bob" Hester; her father Everett Algreen; her stepmother Lenore Algreen; her brother Billy Algreen; and her siblings-in-law, Zelda Oblinger and Harold Hester.

She is survived by: her children, Marty Marker (Steve) of Earlham, Joni Hopkins of Earlham, Karla Peiffer (Mark), Reid Hester (Susan) of Cumming and Lynn Woollums (Rob) of Johnston; her grandchildren, Chad Stiles (Janel Sullivan), Corey Stiles (Penny), Steven Gillette (Bri), Sam Hester, Gabe Hester, Brenden Janssen, Carley Janssen, Vance Peiffer, Carter Woollums and Addison Woollums; her great grandchildren, Johnathan Stiles, Hunter Stiles, Dawson Sullivan, Casey Stiles, Callie Stiles, Brody Stiles, Peyton Gillette and Campbell Gillette; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Hester of Fallbrook, CA and Sheila Algreen of Winterset.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Helen Hester Memorial Fund and will be directed to local organizations at a later date.
