He was predeceased by: his son Dennis William; and his parents, Dennis Alphonsus Byrne and Mary Maurine Byrne (Bricker) of Earlham. He is survived by: his wife Normandie Joan (Glazewski); his brother Terence Edward; and his children, Elizabeth Mary Hensley (David), Margaret Ann Mixon (Hugh), Karen Frances Wang (Orson), Stephen Alphonsus, Michael Robert (Sharon), David George and Mark John. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two nephews, 6 step children, 11 step grandchildren, and numerous step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, George requested contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
