He was predeceased by: his parents, Severt Steffenson and Ethel Steffenson (Chapman); and his siblings, Carrie Bakken, Lloyd Steffenson and Sylvus Steffenson.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Joan Orr of Eagle Grove; his children, Diane Opheim (John), Suzanne Rohrer (Greg) and Michael Steffenson; and his grandchildren, Jason Opheim (Darla), Chad Opheim (Lisa), Jill Rolling (Brooks), Lindsay Struchen (Brady), Jordan Rohrer (Stephanie) and Zachary Steffenson (Lauren). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
