Michael Duane Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Duane Smith of Eagle Grove, Iowa, born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Smith and Grace Smith (Staley); his brother Alan; his daughter Mikki Shelton; and his granddaughter Ciara Loux.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Douglass (Tracy), Nathan Smith (Melissa), Adam Smith, Nick Smith (Sarah), Grace Smith and Faith Burmeister (Harley); his stepchildren, Jon Rutledge (Bre), Alex Rutledge (Kacey) and Beth Washington (Jon); his grandchildren, Cole, Olympia, Tremain, Timothy, Paityn, Emberlyn, Barry, Graciela'Joe and Cynthia; his great grandchildren, Jesse Jr., Jorga, Jagger, Morgan and Adi; and his sisters, Deb Withers and Karen Smith-Trager (Keith). He is also survived by cat, 50, and many other friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Depot Convention Center (220 Railroad Ave, Eagle Grove, IA 50533).
