He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gavin and Shirley Gavin (Severson). He is survived by: his siblings, Ranae Anderson of Webster City, Greg Farwell (Deb) of Eagle Grove, Jeff Farwell (Cathy) of Clarion and Todd Gavin (Christy) of Manchester. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
