She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene H. McCormick and Clara McCormick (Roseland); her siblings, Phyllis Strain, Arnold and Roger McCormick; her siblings-in-law, Allen Strain and Donna McCormick; her son-in-law Don Hicks; and her granddaughter Karrie Gearhart.
She is survived by: her children, Kent L. Gearhart (Muriel) of Eagle Grove, Marcia Hicks of Centrailia, IL and LuAnn Mersch (Gordy) of Eagle Grove; her grandchildren, Kris Gearhart (Yolanda) of Urbandale, Kendrick Gearhart of Eagle Grove, Tony Hicks (Colleen) of O'Fallon, IL, Jim Hicks of Centralia, IL, Sheri Pauley (Trent) of Council Bluffs, IA, Randall Mersch (Joice) of Colorado Springs, CO and Scott Mersch of Humboldt, IA; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Sebastian, Maria Gearhart, Karlehna Gearhart, Austin, Cody Gearhart, Jessica, Kayla Hicks, Myles, Clara Pauley, Abbey and Lana Mersch. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
