He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Orin Gearhart (Bud) and Lois Jean Gearhart (McCormick); his son-in-law Mario A. Rosales; and his brother-in-law Donald Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Muriel; his children, Kristopher Gearhart (Yolanda), Karrie Gearhart (Paul) and Kendrick Gearhart (Jessica); his sisters, Marcia Hicks of Centralia, IL and LuAnn Mersch (Gordy) of Eagle Grove, IA; his sister-in-law Kathleen St. John (James); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Sebastian, Maria Jose', Karlehna, Austin and Cody; and his nieces and nephews, Tony Hicks (Collen), Jim Hicks, Sheri Pauly (Trent), Randall Mersch (Joice), Scott Mersch, Pamela Girgen (Teal), Patrick St. John (Paula), Kristin St. John and Laura McDonell (Patrick).
